With aquarium sizes the larger the tank the easier it is to maintain a healthy aquarium environment, there is more water volume to keep the aquarium at an even and constant temperature, it less likely for the environment to be polluted from fish and plant waste and the water retains clarity for longer periods with less water changes needed.

As a general rule a twenty gallon tank is the minimum for a community aquarium for fish only above this capacity from 20 to 50 gallon you can have a planted community aquarium which allows more space for the inhabitants to roam around.
